What does Korea look like in the neighbourhoods where we meet friends and spend our everyday lives?

minimalist culture is a sub-brand of minimalist, created to share the local culture people enjoy and the value it holds. Yeonnam-dong is the first neighbourhood in the Seoulite Now series.

Its workshops, small shops, cafés and restaurants form a neighbourhood shaped by the people who make their lives there. The illustrations follow the Gyeongui Line Forest Park, affectionately known as Yeontral Park, capturing the area's mix of local life and international influences.

“Seoulite” means a person who lives in Seoul. Echoing “Seoul Right Now”, the series title reflects our interest in the culture Seoulites enjoy today.

우리가 친구를 만나고 일상을 보내는 동네에는 어떤 한국의 모습이 담겨 있을까요?

미니멀리스트 컬쳐는 사람들이 실제로 즐기는 로컬 문화를 소개하고 그 가치를 나누기 위해 시작한 미니멀리스트의 서브 브랜드입니다. ‘Seoulite Now’ 시리즈의 첫 번째 장소로 연남동을 선택했습니다.

작은 공방과 소품 숍, 카페와 레스토랑이 모인 연남동은 다양한 사람들이 만들어 가는 동네입니다. 경의선숲길, 일명 ‘연트럴파크’를 따라 걸으며 만나는 로컬의 일상과 이국적인 풍경을 일러스트레이션에 담았습니다.

‘Seoulite’는 뉴요커, 파리지앵처럼 서울에 사는 사람을 뜻합니다. ‘Seoul Right Now’처럼 들리는 이름에는 서울 사람들이 즐기는 지금의 문화를 소개한다는 의미를 더했습니다.
