CAFÉ ULLA

ULLA is a gorilla character inspired by a rock formation on Songgotsan Mountain, Ulleungdo. Its story draws on the island's folklore to imagine a guardian of the natural landscape.

Despite its imposing size, ULLA is gentle and loves flowers and nature. In the character's story, it drives away goblins troubling the villagers and stays on Songgotsan, enchanted by the island's landscape.

CAFÉ ULLA is a café in northern Ulleungdo built around this character. Views of the sea and Songgotsan connect the café experience to the island's landscape.

A trekking map introduces natural landmarks in the north, including the Seonginbong forest, a mineral spring, Nari Basin, viewpoints and Gwaneumdo. The character and map encourage visitors to explore places beyond the familiar tourist routes.

울라(ULLA)는 울릉도 송곳산의 고릴라를 닮은 바위에서 출발한 캐릭터입니다. 섬의 설화를 바탕으로 자연을 지키는 수호신의 이야기를 담았습니다.

큰 덩치와 달리 꽃과 자연을 좋아하는 다정한 고릴라입니다. 마을 사람들을 괴롭히던 도깨비를 물리치고 울릉도의 자연에 반해 송곳산에 머물게 되었다는 설정입니다.

CAFÉ ULLA는 이 캐릭터를 중심으로 기획한 울릉도 북면의 카페입니다. 바다와 송곳산을 바라보는 공간에서 커피와 함께 섬의 자연을 경험하도록 구성했습니다.

성인봉 원시림, 신령약수터, 나리분지, 전망대와 관음도 등 북면의 자연 명소를 트레킹 코스로 소개했습니다. 캐릭터와 지도를 통해 잘 알려지지 않은 장소를 탐색하도록 안내하고자 했습니다.
